Board President - Larry Robins
Larry Robins has provided professional leadership to nonprofit organizations for more than twenty years and is the Executive Director for PediPlace, a non-profit pediatric medical practice providing access to quality primary healthcare to uninsured and underinsured North Texas children. Larry’s nonprofit career includes positions with the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center as interim President and CEO and Vice President of Programs, Director of Major Gifts for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, and in other leadership positions with organizations in Cincinnati and Los Angeles.  Larry serves on the Community Advisory Board of the Medical Center of Lewisville, and is a member of the State of Texas Medicaid Regional Advisory Committee.  He earned masters’ degrees in social work and nonprofit management from the University of Southern California and the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion and a BA degree from Austin College
Board Vice President - Dr. Bobby Kapur
Dr. Kapur is the Director of Educational Affairs for the Section of Emergency, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.  He also serves as a staff physician at Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston. Dr. Kapur received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He went on to also receive a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. He specializes in emergency medicine has published numerous journal articles on this topic. Dr. Kapur was one of the physicians who volunteered to be a co-medical director for the September 2009 Houston TCARE event.

Treasurer - Adam Wright, CPA
Adam Wright is a Senior Associate of Risk Advisory Services for Weaver, LLP located in Austin TX.  In this role he specializes in process improvement services for nonprofits.  His previous experience includes working for five years with the State of Texas Auditors Office.  He graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Board Secretary - Donelle Barnes
Donelle M. Barnes PhD, RN, CNE is an Associate Professor, College of Nursing, the University of Texas at Arlington.  She teaches research with graduate nursing students, and is studying blood pressure control in hypertensive Mexican immigrants.  As a volunteer, she chairs the Board of Mission Fort Worth, and volunteers as an English/Spanish interpreter for the primary providers.

Greg Cortez, M.D.
Dr. Greg Cortez is the Medical Director for the Community Health Plan of Texas, which is administered by United Health Care.
Jackie McLaughlin
Jackie currently works with the  TX Bell County FCS  as an AgriLife Agent.  Prior to that she worked for many years with for the State of Texas as the community relations specialist for region 7 of the CHIP/Medicaid program.  Her expertise lies in state programming as well as public health issues.
Michael McMillin
Michael McMillin is a graduate of Harvard Law School and is currently employed with Andrews Kurth, LLP, located in Austin, TX. Michael is a commercial litigation associate. Michael assists with civil litigation, writing and research, depositions, and case strategy. He has handled several active pro bono matters, including contract and family disputes

Executive Director

Jody Hopkins
Jody Hopkins, LCSW, ACSW has been involved in the non-profit sector for over 27 years with the majority of these years in non-profit management.  Jody began her career working with children and families in the child protection system.
In 1999 Ms. Hopkins became involved in the free and charitable clinic field when she began volunteering at the Interfaith Community Clinic north of Houston.    She later was hired by this clinic and was named their Executive Director.  She served in this role for 7 years and upon moving to Austin, TX continued to serve as a clinic director for an additional 3 years at the Volunteer Healthcare Clinic.
In 2010 Jody was named the Executive Director for the Lone Star Association of Charitable Clinics.  This is a statewide association that supports volunteer based free and charitable clinics.  In this role she works with clinics throughout the entire state providing them with information, capacity building resources, and advocacy services.  During the 2013 legislative session she worked with Senator Jane’s Nelson’s office to create new policy making it easier for military physician’s to volunteer their services at charitable clinics. 

Jody is further involved in the local and statewide nonprofit community and is a newly appointed charter member of the Community Leadership Council for the Center for Nonprofits. From 2011-2013 Jody served on the state Task Force to Improve Nonprofit Relations.  While the majority of her work is done within the state of Texas, she has presented at national conferences and has also advocated on a national level for Texas clinics.  Jody is a licensed social worker and received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Houston.

Founding Board Member - Marlene DiLillo
Marlene DiLillo has been executive director of Greater Killeen Free Clinic since 1996. She has been active in many coalitions related to health care for the underserved and has mentored several newly forming charitable clinics. Marlene has a master’s degree in human resource management, with certificates in volunteer management and non-profit management, and is a graduate of the Kellogg Foundation’s Engaged Communities program. She has served on several regional boards including Campfire and Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Founding Board Member - Pat Frosch
Pat Frosch served as the point person in the establishment of the GRACE Community Clinic which opened in  Sept 2003). Pat also served as vice president of the Great Dallas/Fort Worth Association of Charitable Clinics and the chair of the Tarrant County Charitable Clinic Forum. She has formerly served as Executive Director of Mend-a-Child, a nonprofit agency that provided medical and dental assistance for low income children in Abilene, TX. Other past work experience includes District Field Representative for the American Cancer Society and Director of Admissions and PR Coordinator for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, both in Abilene. Pat graduated from McMurry College, Abilene, TX, in 1976 with a BA in Social Work.  Previous board experience includes service on the Leadership Abilene and Young Leadership Abilene boards, Friends of the Library Board (Abilene), and Society of Fund Raising Executives (Abilene).

Founding Board Member - Scott Golding
J. Scott (Scott) Golding has been executive director of Medical Care Mission in Abilene since 1998. He works on many task forces related to health and human service issues and does consulting work for non-profit entities in West Texas. He has a master’s degree in social service administration. He is past president of the Abilene Chapter of National Society of Fundraising Professionals.

Founding Board Member - Clark Moore
Clark Moore Corky is the founding Executive Director of Ubi Caritas Clinic and Health Center in Beaumont. He is a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Beaumont, and has served as Vestry and Senior Warden. He currently serves as chairman of the Episcopal Community Outreach Ministries for the Diocese of Texas. He is a founding board member of Episcopal Health.Charities and currently chairs the Grant Evaluation Committee. He serves on the Executive Committee with Three Rivers Council - Boy Scouts of America, and Chair of the Southeast Texas Health & Human Services Network. He is a founding board member for LSACC and currently serves as Treasurer. As a 25 year veteran in the field of Non Profit Management and Fund Raising, his quirky and cynical sense of humor put him in demand as a consultant and writer.

Founding Board Member - Katherine Peake
Katherine Peake was a board member of The Good Samaritan Center in Fredericksburg until 2010, and has worked as a volunteer at the Fredericksburg Free Clinic (now the GSC) since 2000.  She served as the Fredericksburg Municipal Judge from 1984 to 2009, and holds a B.A. from The University of New Mexico and a J.D. from the University of Denver. She has been in private practice and has served as the Assistant District Attorney for the 216th Judicial District.  She also served as chairman of the board of The Hill Country Memorial Hospital and the Fredericksburg Independent School District.

Jim Walton DO is Vice President and Chief Health Equity Officer, Baylor Health Care System, Office of Health Equity, Dallas, Texas. He is Medical Director, Office of Community Health Improvement, HealthTexas Provider Network; and Medical Director, Project Access Dallas, Dallas County Medical Society. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Department of Family & Community Medicine; and Adjunct Professor, University of North Texas Health Sciences Center, School of Public Health.
